Crusher launches beta service for creating rich invites

Crusher's minimalistic design places spotlight on event and guests

San Francisco, CA – July 9th, 2007 – Crusher, an independent consortium of digital designers-developers, proudly announces the launch of crush3r.com [beta], a free online service that empowers creative individuals to easily plan, personalize, and document their events.

Crusher was founded by veteran designers and developers from Yahoo, Ofoto and frog design, with a vision for creating engaging invitations for events such as private parties, corporate functions, or the band’s next gig.

"After years of accumulated frustrations we recognized a need for a truly simple, collaborative showcase for events", say co-founders Ericson deJesus and Phillip Bensaid. "We envisioned a website where uncompromising individuals could easily create invitations that reflected their own style and which encouraged interaction between guests before and after the big day. Our approach is reductive rather than additive. Other websites are plagued with unwanted features, we resist them. The result is a minimal interface completely free of clutter, a stage for organizers and their guests."

Crusher users can create customized, banner-free invites with photos, maps, videos, and more, then email them to guests. Guests can help pick the best date, share their photos of the event, and participate in comment conversations. All for free and no membership is required.
