Crusher comes out of beta

 

San Francisco, CA – December 31st, 2007

Team Crusher is proud to announce that Crusher (AKA Full-on Crusher) came out of beta today – just in time for 2008.

Our first six months were fantastic! We received great input from hordes of grateful users, got invited to dozens of parties around the world :-)
and finally, Crusher is officially open for business.

A few of the notable improvements we made during beta were...

• • Simplified page cloning and page creation.
• • New Bring List and Sell Stuff modules
• • Bulk photo uploader for simplified photo sharing
• • Registration requirement lowered even further. Guests can now upload a mugshot and give themselves a nickname without signing up.
• • Contact management improved: tags, bulk editing and bulk inviting.
• • Super fast scalable hosting at Engine Yard and overall application optimization.
• • Upgraded to Edge Rails, most pages HAML-ized.
• • New themes and theme gallery created.
• • Customer support forum hosted by our friends at Satisfaction.
• • And still no ad banners.

Crusher is a free consumer web app for creating event invitations. There are no ad-banners and no signup is required to use it. Crusher users can personalize their invite with custom colors and backgrounds, add utilities like a map and a convenient 'add to calendar' link, and add rich content like photos and video. Guests can help pick the best date, RSVP, share their photos of the event, and participate in comment conversations.

Crusher was created by veteran designers and developers from Yahoo, Ofoto, Seibel and Frog Design, with a vision for creating engaging invitations for your events.
